ADVENT PROCESSION

Sunday, December 2, 2012, 7:30 PM
at the Lutheran Church of Honolulu, 1730 Punahou Street

What’s Happening...

Each year as the church re-starts the liturgical cycle, we enter the season of Advent, a time of reflection and anticipation. To mark this annual renewal, the Lutheran Church of Honolulu celebrates with an Advent Procession: a service of music and word. This year, for our 38th annual procession, we offer Arvo Pärt’s Sieben Magnificat-Antiphonen: a Hawaiian premiere from one of the world’s most celebrated living composers. The evening also includes South African composer Peter Klatzow’s Magnificat, and works from the long and rich Lutheran choral tradition. Join us for this beautiful, musical evening.
