Veteran’s Day Prayer Service and Work Party

Please join us Thursday morning, November 11th, for a short prayer service honoring our veterans at 9:00 AM. Together with so many others we will thank God for the sacrifices many have made and continue to pray for the peace of God.

Following the service we will have a “minor maintenance” work party to spruce up a few things around the church ground. This event has been organized by April Smith. Thanks April!

Church Campus Planning Charrette this Saturday

(In which the parking lot figures prominently)

Are you curious? creative? confounded by uneven pavement surfaces, dusty, treeless landscaping, and klieg-light aesthetics? Then join us for a church campus planning charrette where you can satisfy your curiosity, exercise your creativity, and kick the dirt for inspiration with your fellow congregants.

November 13, 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon,
Isenberg Hall (with a field trip or two thrown in).

A charrette is a group design exercise to develop a landscape and parking plan for the LCH campus. The purpose of a campus landscape plan is to create a space that:

Honors the God of creation by expressing our environmental stewardship;
Honors the God of love by reflecting our care for our neighbors, our respect for our host culture, and our joy in fellowship;
Extends the invitation to all by creating an environment that offers welcome and orientation to the newcomer;
Communicates who we are and retains touchstones to our history as a congregation and the history of this place; and
Inhabits a vision of our future.

Associate Pastor/Mission ‘Ohana Gatherings

The Staffing Task Force invites you to share your ideas, concerns, insights, doubts, and unfettered enthusiasm with your friends at LCH at ‘Ohana Gatherings as we explore the possibility of calling as associate pastor. We are excited about what God has in store for us and hope you will come and share your faith story. Please sign up for an ‘Ohana Gathering on the sheet located in the Hörmann Courtyard.

OYEA to Host UH Tailgate Party November 20

Everyone is invited to join us for the Tailgate Party Saturday, November 20, at 3:00 PM at Aloha Stadium. We will have food and drinks along with fellowship and a great time. If you need tickets to the game, we have reserved a block of tickets, which are available for $20 each. If you have tickets already, please join us for the tailgate party. Please contact Pastor Jeff if you would like to join us for this wonderful day!
