FLASH WORKDAY THIS WEDNESDAY
(Yes, That’s Tomorrow!)
You’ve heard of flashmobs—or maybe not; look it up on Google—but we are having a flash workday here at LCH!!
Come join us for a day of cleaning, yard work, bulletin folding, polishing—whatever needs to be done to get ready for Holy Week and Easter. You can come after 9:00 AM. We will wrap up around 5:00 PM. Lunch, drinks throughout the day, and lots of encouragement will be provided. Bring gloves, sunscreen, and an adventurous spirit.
Call Pastor Jeff if you have any questions.
Easter Sunday Brunch
Join in the fun of fellowship and food at the Easter Sunday Potluck Brunch, between services on Easter Sunday. We welcome your favorite dish or casserole, breakfast breads, fruit, or any other food items to share with everyone. We will provide the beverages.
We also welcome any help to set up tables/chairs before the 8:00 AM service, help set up food before 9:15 AM, and clean-up before/during the 10:30 AM service.
You can volunteer to Mary-Jo Estes through the Church Office (941-2566).
LCH Team Walks the Walk
For the second year in a row, Lutheran Church of Honolulu fielded a team for the Honolulu AIDS Walk. The team of about 10 persons raised over $2000.00 to benefit Life Foundation, the largest provider of services to person living with AIDS/HIV in Hawaii.
Mahalo to all who walked and donated, and a special thank you to Miss Peggy Anderson who organized and captained our team!!

Heifer Fundraiser
The 2011 Heifer Project is 75% there! We currently have $3,038 in pledges and donations. This amount combined with the $700 seed money leaves us with only $1,262 left to raise to meet the $5,000 goal.
The money will buy an “Ark of Animals” through Heifer International to be distributed to needy families worldwide. These families receive training on how to use the animal in an ecologically sound manner to sustain their livelihood. Offspring are donated to other families in the community.
Please consider making a donation to this project that benefits not only individuals but entire communities as well. It's a gift that keeps on giving.
