Director of Music and Liturgy Candidate to Visit July 10The Call Committee for the Director of Music and Liturgy invites you to meet one of the candidates for this position on Sunday, July 10, at the 9:15 AM worship service. Dr. Miguel Felipe, recently hired to teach in the music department at the University of Hawai‘i, will conduct the choir and be available for a visit following worship. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Felipe as part of his interview process. Western States Youth GatheringPlease join with us in prayer as we send out Pastor Jeff, Colin, and Jordan to this year’s Western States Youth Gathering in Irvine, California. The Hawai‘i region will send out twenty-eight youth and eight adults from LCH, Kihei Lutheran, Christ Mililani, Calvary By the Sea, and Maluhia Lutheran. This Hawai‘i group will meet up with over six hundred youth from around the country during this year’s premier youth event for Lutherans. The event will take place between July 1 and 5; however, our Hawai‘i group will be departing on June 28. The theme is “In the Balance” using Romans 8:30–38 as a scriptural base. The event will include large group learning, praise, worship, service projects, and fun. Please pray for safety throughout the trip for both the youth and its leaders, as well for team building, fellowship, and spiritual growth! Mahalo!
