Easter V—April 29, 2018

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: In today’s Gospel, Jesus says, “I am the vine, and you are the branches.” A tree grows up and has branches which bear flowers and then fruit. The fruit that Jesus wants us to bear is love. We have this fruit of love that we can give away to the whole world.

Easter IV/Earth Day—April 22, 2018

Preacher: Willow Chang
Summary: Today is Earth Day, when we think about how we care for the Earth, our home. We know we are trashing the Earth, and fixing things seems overwhelming. However, like with the little mustard seed we know about from the Gospel, even little actions can have a positive effect. We can recycle cans and bottles, pick up trash, and use reuseable containers. These little things matter as we care for the Earth.

Easter Sunday—April 1, 2018

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: Today is Easter, and we’re happy because Jesus was raised from the dead, so we sing a word we haven’t heard for many weeks, “Alleluia!” And you’re happy about many other things, so we sing, “Alleluia!”
