Joint Confirmation Activity at Joy of Christ in Pearl City (October 1, 2006)

The third Hukilau joint confirmation training took place at Joy of Christ Lutheran Church on October 1. Six churches joined in a fun study of the 4th Commandment: Honor your father and your mother.

Bruce Kau opened with leading some camp songs...

...and Pastor Karen led the opening prayer and shared a faith story about getting along with parents.

Pastor Karla had help from the group explaining the “handbook connection.”

Ian and a crew from Christ Lutheran crew presented the “Robo Parent” skit.

Our own Pastor Steve did the Bible connection and joined several other leaders in conducting the small groups.

As part of “giving to others,” participants brought treats to be sent to military members from Hukilau congregations serving n Iraq.

Next month’s joint session is at LCH, and our parents are already planning a fun meal.
