No Children’s Conversation

Lent V—March 21, 2010

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: Today there is something new—a brand new toy puppy. In today’s lesson, Isaiah says God is about to do a new thing. Some of us like new things; others don’t. We will have a new and exciting Easter soon. Look to see what new things you see on Easter.

Lent IV—March 14, 2010

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: In today’s Gospel story, we hear about the “Prodigal Son,” who asked for his inheritance, then went away, and wasted the money. But when he came back, his father welcomed him, even though he didn’t deserve it. This is how God loves us.

Lent III—March 7, 2010

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: I think we should have fun in church, so today we are going to play hide-and-go-seek. (The children all hide, and Pastor Jeff finds them all.) That was like today’s Psalm that says God will seek us out and will always find us.

Lent II—February 28, 2010

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: Were you afraid during yesterday’s tsunami? In today’s lesson, Abram ias afraid, but God says, “I am your shield.” Just remember that no matter what happens, God is with you.

Lent I—February 21, 2010

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: Today is the First Sunday of Lent, and I gave you a test, but you didn’t do well. In today’s Gospel, Jesus was given a test, and he passed because he relied on God’s love. Because Jesus passed the test for you, it doesn’t matter how you did today. So, we rely on God’s grace throughout Lent.

The recording of today’s children’s conversation is not available for technical reasons.
