Stewardship 2012—Pledge Letter

We are both grateful and astounded by the range of ministries our LCH ‘ohana supports. Eager volunteers pitch in to support events like the recent Mozart Konzert, dedicated cooks and servers feed about 200 guests each month at IHS, and our young people have produced their fund raising concert to benefit Heifer International for the past seven years! And in the last year we have committed ourselves to new ministries with Windward Wounded Warriors and the people of the Wai‘anae coast through One Pot, One Hope.

Pledging time is here, smile and do not fear,
Giving should be fun, it’s good for everyone!

Some of us are regular pledgers, others make occasional pledges, and some never pledge but still give faithfully. If you are not a regular pledger, we urge you to become one; if you have a history of pledging, please take this opportunity to increase your pledge this year.

Pledging is simply a written commitment between you and God to support the mission and ministries of LCH. And remember, a pledge can be as flexible as you need it to be. It is OK to change your pledge later on if your personal circumstances make it necessary.

This year each of us will have two opportunities to pledge to grow our ministries at LCH.

First, please consider a pledge for 2012 to sustain our operating budget, which provides the funds that maintain our current ministries and spread the Gospel to our neighbors near and far.

Second, you have the opportunity to support our m1ssion campaign for three specific goals: calling an associate pastor, covering for the Hörmann Courtyard, and resurfacing the parking lot behind the church. Several of our members and friends have already made contributions to this m1ssion campaign.

Enclosed you will find a Pledge Sheet to record your pledges for our two campaigns. There will be a drop box in the Nave where you may submit your pledges. Our website will also have helpful information regarding our regular stewardship and m1ssion campaign. We will dedicate our pledges to God on Sunday, November 13, during both morning worship services.

Mahalo for your prayers and pledges to continue proclaiming God’s love to the world!

We all are one in mission, we all are one in call,
our varied gifts united by Christ, the Lord of all.
