Christ the King: Last Sunday after Pentecost—November 25, 2018

Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: Today the church is white, last week everything was green, and next week will be blue. White tells us we are clean because God comes to us, washes away our stain, and makes us God’s beloved children.

All Saints’ Sunday—November 4, 2018

Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: Let’s go on an adventure! If we walk over here, is God here? What about over here? God is everywhere, even here at church, and even if we can’t see God or don’t believe.

Reformation Sunday—October 28, 2018

Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: Today is Reformation Sunday, when we remember Martin Luther and the Reformation. We see red all around us because that’s the color of fire and the Holy Spirit. When there is a fire, things change. For example, when a pinecone is in a fire, it burns up, but that lets the seeds out, and big trees grow from those seeds.

Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 29—October 21, 2018

Preacher: Intern Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Summary: I asked you if you’re the best person in the world, and you said, “Yes.” What about the rest of the people here today? God loves each of us just the way we are. This is real cool.

Time after Pentecost • Lectionary 27—October 7, 2018

Preacher: Pastor Jeff Lilley
Summary: Today we are celebrating the Feast of St. Francis, so people brought their pets for blessings. This is my dog Lizzie. She loves children, but she’s afraid of others because her first owner mistreated her. Francis wanted people to treat animals and all creation well because God loves it all. God cares for us and sends us help so we see that love.
