Restoring Creation—Renewing Christ’s Community
During the 2016–17 program year, LCH continues on our journey of “year-round” stewardship through a series of activities that will either help restore God’s creation or renew Christ’s community.
The goal of stewardship is to help God’s people grow in their relationship with Jesus through the use of their time, talents, and finances that God has entrusted to us. It is about using our whole lives to serve and love God.
- September: Introducing our Theme—The Stewardship Committee introduced the theme and invited “every member of our church family to participate as we join our hands together and do God’s work of restoring creation and renewing Christ’s community.” Read the entire article….
- October: Renewing Our Community through Involvement—The Stewardship Committee challenged members of the congregation to focus their hearts and minds on renewing Christ’s community in our home congregation by becoming involved in congregational activities.
