Summer Jazz Series: Jazz Evolution • Fri., July 2 @ 7:00 pm

sax at sunsetSummer Jazz continues with a quartet led by our very own Reid Ishikawa and including Jeremy Lawi on drums, Alika Lyman on bass, and Allen Won on sax. This outstanding combo will play through a historical sampler of jazz music composed by some of the genre’s greats, including pieces by Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, and more. The quartet will be joined by a surprise guest vocalist or two.

The concert will take place as a hybrid in-person/livestream event in the LCH Courtyard with limited seating. Attendees are encouraged to be vaccinated, and masks are required throughout the evening. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.

The concert will also be livestreamed on our Worship Services page and the LCH Facebook page July 2 at 7:00 pm and then archived on the LCH Facebook page.

The concert is free; and donations to support the concert series are gladly accepted using the link below. Suggested donation for this concert is $10–20.

The series concludes with a Tribute to Manhattan Transfer (a night of vocal jazz in the swinging styles of legendary groups like Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, and Singers Unlimited) on Friday, August 20.
